A Clincal Analysis for Indication of Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy

Abstract
|
|
|
Authors undertook a clinical trial to investigate the indications of intraperitoneal chemotherapy in 14 cases of intraabdominal malignancy which had been treated at Dae Dong general Hospital.
We summarized the result as follows; a significant improvement was demonstrated in malignant ascites associated with carcinomatosis peritonei and it also had potential advantage as adjuvant therapy of surgical resection in advance malignancy
which
had
serosal invasion, local peritoneal seeding and minimal residual cancer tissue after resection. Complications of I. P., chemotherapy were not significant and were considered as acceptable risk.
